The Wait Ends | Inaugration of "New Islamabad International Airport"

After the multiple construction and inauguration delays of New Islamabad International Airport, and the long wait of Pakistanis, especially Islamabadians, the New Islamabad International Airport kicks off its official operations today i.e 1st May 2018 as the Prime Minister Mr. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi inaugurates it.

It welcomed its first flight PK-300 from Karachi at 11 am with a traditional shower of water canons, and departed its first flight PK301 to Karachi at 12.30 pm.

International operations will be starting from 3rd May therefore.
It is a very well equipped and modern airport and according to the reports. it is also claimed as the most advanced airport of Pakistan which is indeed a good sign of progress.

The nation was happy and so was the CAA and PIA staff as it was the long awaited event.

Best wishes to it for the future operations.
