Helping A Cause | Fun Run

The team of Pakistan Alliance for Girls Education, who is consistent in their efforts to improve the status of Girls education in Pakistan, organized a Fun Run on 8th of March at Shah Faisal Avenue, Islamabad to celebrate international women’s day and create awareness regarding the current status and importance of Girls Education in Pakistan. 


A lot of people from different backgrounds i.e students and professionals came out and took part in the run to show their solidarity towards the cause. 
Among the notables were Senator Sitara Ayeaz, Senator Mohammad Ali Saif, Former Speaker of the National Assembly Faisal Kareem Kundi, Dr.Saima (PPP),Second Secretary British High Commission Gavin DeCosta who took part in the run along with his wife. 
They expressed their views regarding the current status of Girls education and signed commitment to promotion of Girls education in Pakistan. The event was also attended by girls of Star School who belong to Afghan refugee community and out of school girls who dream of continuing their education. It was a good initiative by Pakistan Alliance For Girls Education to gather everyone at a single platform and highlight the gender disparity that still exist in terms of education and the gap that needs to be filled.
