China-Pakistan Diplomatic Relationship | Concert in Celebration of 67th Anniversary

An extravaganza music from both the nations was organized mutually by the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Pakistan, China Culture Centre in Pakistan and Network of International Cultural Entities (NICE) on 14th of May, 2018 at Pakistan National Council of the Art (PNCA).

 
A shining stage set on fire in conventional Chinese red setting welcomed the eye on entering the primary corridor. The opening of the concert marked with the arrival of honorable guests which include Ambassador of People's Republic of China in Pakistan, His Excellency Mr. Yao Jing, Federal Ministry of State and Frontier Regions, General(R) Abdul Qadir Baloch and Mr. Jamal Shah (Director General) PNCA.

The evening starts with the Folk musicals performances revolved around the 'Theme of Spring', 'Beaming with Joy', 'Golden snake dance', 'Sword Dance',  'Bamboo Flute’, ‘Stillness of the Night', and 'Blooming flowers and full moon'.
Chinese counterparts joined Pakistani musicians in playing a violin, tabla, folk melody on Rubaab. All tunes were similarly appreciated by the Chinese and Pakistani gatherings of people show on the event. Such festivals permit the general population of the two nations to meet up and give charming chance to comprehend and welcome the multifaceted culture and customs on the two sides.

Puppetry and Communication | A Session with Mr.Farooq Qaiser

An invigorating learning session with Mr.Farooq Qaiser (The Master of puppetry in Pakistan) was organized by National Institution of Folk and Traditional Heritage on 16th May 2018 at Lok Virsa, Grand Avenue, Shakarpariyan Road, Islamabad.

Puppetry is a sort of theatre or performance that involves the animation of puppets. This animation is completed with the guide of a puppeteer. Such an overall performance is likewise referred to as a puppet play or puppet theatre. 

Farooq Qaiser is the pioneer of puppetry in Pakistan. The pride of performance winner has choreographed several puppet theatres across the world. He has taught the speciality of puppetry in Pakistan and abroad.
‘Farooq Qaiser’ graced Media Centre of Lok Virsa with an uncommon lecture program on “Puppetry and Communication”. Derived from his book “Kathputli”, the lecture aimed at lightning up parts of communication, both subtle and direct, which can be learned by gazing the various successful puppets arranged across the world including the legacy of Uncle Sargam.

Expanding Horizon | Launch of Mughlai Courtyard

After years of success of the Islamabad landmark Restaurant Tuscany Courtyard Khurram Khan launched another grand project  “Mughlai Courtyard” in Islamabad at a Red Carpet launch hosted by Models Nattie, Humaira, Jiya, Nosheen, Zara and Sabeen and handled by Islamabad’s most famous PR person Rezz Aly Shah of Rezz PR and Events . Located in the heart of Islamabad’s F8 area, the glamourous launch had the main road blocked as Islooites rushed to get inside. On a crisp evening, Khurram Khan was seated on the veranda of Tuscany Courtyard, reminiscing about how he had started Tuscany so many moons ago and how it had now become synonymous with quality food and exquisite service. As the cool breeze started to rise, he found himself craving for a delicious Mughali Food. His mind raced to recall where in Islamabad he could get great Mughali Food, which would take him back in time when Indian Sub Continent had the best of the best food. At this moment, he realized he had to make one in Islamabad, one which he would rave about to his friends and family.

Talking to Media at the launch Khurrum Khan said “My passion for food has been the driving force behind all my ventures.  After Tuscany courtyard I wanted to try something new and bring the spices of the east to Islamabad. This drove me to experience the sumptuous Mughlai Cuisine which was the royal feast of the kings. So I decided to open my new venture Mughlai courtyard which will Be the  future of the taste for Islamabad”

Bahria Youth Technothon 2018 | BYTE’18



Bahria Youth Technothon 2018 (BYTE’18), organized in intent to provide a platform to the students of Bahria university, as well as, other universities and colleges of Islamabad, allowing them to showcase their talent and expertise and engage themselves in productive extra-curricular activities.
Event was organized by the Computer Engineering department of BUIC along with unconditional support from other departments. 

Over 2000 young innovators came together from 75 different universities and made the event hub of great knowledge and intellect. 26 competitions were held, segregated into 5 major groups, Technical, Theme, open Challenge, Sports and Social Events.

Initial phase of the ceremony concluded motivational speech from Pro-Rector Bahria University encapsulating the significance of such activities.

The event mainly revolved around Technical activities such as Project Exhibition, Micro-controller Interfacing, Programming Freak, speed writing, Mathletics and Robothon.  Several industry leaders participated in the event to recognize the far-fetched efforts of young students exhibiting their projects.
Open Challenge events were organized to add some spice into core of the event and make the learning endeavor a bit fun activity. Different recreational yet mind boggling activities were designed to keep the spirit alive and vivid. Parallel to it, Theme based activities added some more colors to the event. 
 
Traveling through different phases, the event came to its final stages after musical concert and entertainment night. A Theme based dinner was organized to for the honorable guests and winners from each competition.
Closing ceremony was held, Shields and Trophies were distributed among the winners to give them recognition.

Europe Day | Schuman Declaration


The Eurovilllage was organised on Saturday, 5th May,2018. It was the family friendly event and celebrated cultural heritage that is hosted by European Union Cooperation in Pakistan at PNCA, Islamabad. Basically ,  their aim was to remind everyone the EU's cultural richness while also underlying our unity.

Jean-Francois Ambassador of the EU, confirmed that EU will keep on being strong, helpful and dependable accomplice in Pakistan. He also included "We remain for multilateralism, for human rights, and for universal participation. We work at home and abroad to enhance maintainable improvement, comprehensive social orders, and the battle against inequality and injustice of any type".
Families and children's provided with different stalls  of Europe as a culturally rich and  friendly place. EU's and also the part states , stands displayed their culturals and traditions, language, music and food to the families and also provided the information about the EU and its states.
Eurovillage was transformed into a real event with stalls  of Europen typical food. There were activites uplift and information for both adults and children including quizzes, selfies walls etc. The evening was ended with live performances of EU band Lohninger & Fischbacher Duo, Wild ManGoes, Hun Solo, the Pakistani artist Zeb Bangash's and the blaze performance of 'Charlie Caper'.
